Sinfonia na cidade - sound tours collection

The project "Sinfonia na cidade" is composed of a collection of three books, where the main object is the sound in different parts of Erechim city. It's a research project made by teacher Marcela Álvares Maciel.

"To this end, sound ethnography methods are used for the construction of documentary archives of soundscapes to enable their preservation, study and subsequent dissemination. In tracks for sound tours based on the assessment of the potential of sound environments as a recording object, simulating the best route and time in advance, including pauses that aimed to highlight one or another sound set."

This is the first book "From chaos to silence". We chose to separate the covers and different colors, which better visually organize each of the proposals and make them stand out, even using the same base design.

We chose to add the map in all books, to introduce the reader to how the project works and the places accessed.
The third and final book in the collection, "Sound Carousel", follows the same path as the previous ones and concludes the project.

And the map to finish the collection. Being a part of this project was very special, as it was being carried out by the Federal University of Fronteira Sul, where I graduated. In addition, I had no idea of the chosen places in the route, they were scenes thought through my experience with the noises that were mentioned in the text. This made the work even more enriching.
