Audrey-Saurus and the bedtime situation
Written by Sarah Allison
What I did: Illustrations, formatting, organization of the book for printing
The process:
Following the Audrey-Sauro series, this is the second book that tells the story of Audrey having a problem at bedtime. In this book, in addition to studying the colors in detail, since we have real clothes and settings, I tried to use handwritten texts to complement the pages. This helps the reader follow the details of the illustrations and draws attention to what I need most in the scene. Dynamic and colorful texts also help with literacy, so it is important to follow the normal pattern of letters for drawn texts. The cool thing about this story is that the writer also published it in Portuguese/Brazil, so I needed to adapt the written texts to Portuguese, it was an incredible experience.
