Our very Greek Easter

The process:
This book was a challenge because I had to illustrate very specific details of Greece. It was magical to see and get to know these costumes, even though I've never been to this country before. The process began with a lot of research, after that I made the sketches with these details. Study of the main characters on the pages was an important exercise to analyze the whole scene and understand each one. About the colors, we used them to remind cherry trees, blending blue and pink, specially in the covers.
Recently, Our very Greek Easter won 2nd place in the Cultural Diversity category of Purple Dragonfly book awards 2022!
