Ramon e Nina
Written and illustrated by Laura Mocelin
What I did: text, illustrations, formatting, organization of the book for printing
The process:
This book was designed directly for the main character: Ramon, my godson. He feels so much, so much, that I needed to write a book so that he always remembers feeling exactly like that. It is a simple, easy-to-understand text that will also help with your literacy skills. Regarding the illustrations, I preferred to use fewer colors and more lines to represent each scene. I also tried to bring different perspectives to the story. Objects that connect with the character are important, for example: my godson loves eggs and chickens, so on every page we have eggs as characters and the chicken as his best friend. This makes the reader pay attention to the details and stay on the pages longer, identifying themselves.
